Inclusion Criteria:
- male/female, 18-75 years old, inclusive
- diagnosis of adult-onset RA
- had active disease
- had received methotrexate
- on a stable dose of folic acid
Exclusion Criteria:
- contraindication for methotrexate or anti-TNF
