Role

As a Marketing & Sales Principal within IQVIA’s Commercial Services team, you will work directly with clients to deliver solutions which address both strategic issues and tactical operations, spanning Launch advisory services, forecasting, promotion planning, tactical execution, and performance diagnostics/optimization, all increasingly fueled by our strengths in Artificial Intelligence. You will have responsibility for business development, client relationship development, and delivery governance which yields high levels of client satisfaction by execution of the responsibilities outlined below.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Conduct insightful needs assessments with Marketing and Sales pharma client personas
  • Develop and deliver insightful, value-added proposals that address complex client issues of relevance to the Marketing/Sales client community, enabling you to meet or exceed recognized revenue targets
  • Develop and/or elevate new business opportunities through the identification of both follow-on work and proactive lead generation
  • Own client engagements with responsibility for client satisfaction and delivering high levels of quality/added value
  • Follow up with clients after delivery of guidance to ensure client satisfaction in the application of our recommendations
  • Provide direction, advice and intellectual leadership to clients and internal teams 
  • Play a significant role in account planning and strategy development with the broader IQVIA team aligned to your client(s) 
  • Remain current on industry, client and competitive trends and directions in order to anticipate and identify new business challenges and issues at assigned clients

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have a track record of success across the majority of the following competencies:

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills
  • Strong capability in managing projects and juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high-quality outcomes
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing
  • Track record of ability to sell high quality, high value projects to clients
  • Ability to drive Business Development independently
  • Experience of working in sizable/ multi-disciplined teams and supervising staff
  • Experience of developing credible relationships with executives in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals
  • Intensive experience leading, managing, and developing people
  • Broad understanding of pharmaceutical industry and its evolving needs

  • Thorough knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques

Qualifications & Other Requirements

In addition to the skills and experience above, candidates interested in joining IQVIA Commercial Services for this role should have:

  • A strong academic track record including minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant graduate degree preferred (further personal/industry qualifications are valued but are not essential)
  • At least 10 years professional experience in consulting, pharmaceutical and healthcare industry with evidence of career progression
  • Demonstrable experience in and commitment to the life sciences and/or healthcare industries
  • A strong track record of management, leadership and people development
  • A willingness and ability to travel to client locations
