Controls, directs, actions, influences and partners in the activities of the organization by driving long-term strategic planning; determining and actioning the policies, processes, deliverables and KPIs of the organization. Understand that Operations is the hub of the rapidly evolving T&L function.
Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with and influences the T&L Leadership team and wider stakeholders to understand common business challenges, table issues and facilitate resolutions
- Responsible for the structuring and building performance measures for large-scale T&L vendor relationships; Managing Offshore Administration/Delivery partnership; ensuring processes are functioning effectively and meeting the needs of the T&L team/business and monitoring deliverables to identify issues, gaps etc and initiate timely solutions and accountability and productivity measures as needed.
- Proactively manage T&L vendor contracts, initiating contract reviews and renewals and contract changes in partnership with legal, procurement etc
- Assess the current processes and systems within the T&L organization to recommend and document standardized operating guidelines for processes, systems, data, T&L content. Documenting operating guidelines and requirements for efficiencies, accountabilities and best practices.
- Proactively manage the annual budget; partnering with the T&L team and Finance to review spend to budget on a monthly basis. Standardizing processes and requirements to have transparency of spend to budget and future budget planning to meet new initiatives
- Support the investigation of current/recurring key issues relating to the T&L processes and monitor processes and systems and iterate documentation as needed
- Act as team liaison-point within T&L and the business and HR to connect the dots between the T&L team
- Manage a team of 1.75 head count who support the Operations Manager in their deliverables
- Able to work in an agile manner to accommodate changing priorities within the role
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related field. Masters’ a plus.
- 5 or more years of related experience in HR.
- Excellent problem solving, risk analysis and negotiation skills.
- Possess experience in writing process documents in a training environment
- Ability to identify functional constraints and identify solutions.
- Ability to coordinate timelines with internal customers and external vendors
- Line Management Experience
- Experience of interacting with and influencing Executive Management
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to positively influence and guide others whilst building and maintaining effective working relationships
- Have a strategic mindset, as well as strong critical thinking
- Self-starter able to find out of the box solutions
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize
- Ability to manage resources and multiple projects simultaneously under pressure and within deadlines
- Very strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, project management, process improvement, Technical and process writing, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
