Technical Solutions Architect

Working with minimal direction of senior leadership, this position will conduct research into leading-edge technology to develop and document IT architecture designs required to deliver technology solutions against company strategy.

The position will be responsible for creating formal business plans and presenting to leadership on recommended strategy and solutioning that include options, recommendations, and ROI. The architect will need to collaborate across Information Technology and the PPD business to gather requirements, plan, design and implement technology solutions. In addition, the role will be responsible for guiding enterprise level technical projects to ensure homogeneity and alignment to IT architecture & engineering design for programs operated within IT and the IT delivery office. The goal is to support the improvement of existing processes and procedures related to IT functions. It will require interaction with technical and business leaders to ensure business continuity and that a unified IT strategic direction is delivered.

We are looking for a candidate who has in-depth technical knowledge of Information Technology to include infrastructure (servers, storage, networking), data, applications, security, and desktops to be able to construct end-to-end solutions. In addition, the candidate should possess strong soft skills required for understanding business requirements, putting together formal business plans, calculating ROI, strong communication skills, and ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization.

Education and Experience:

BS degree in Computer Science or related area, or an equivalent combination of education, professional training and experience that provide the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities10 years experience in systems and technology architecture supporting a networked server environment.

Essentials:

10 years related experience or a combination of education, training and experience;

Expert knowledge in cloud and systems architecture is essential for the position;

Demonstrated competency in the development of IT architecture designs

Advanced project management and communication skills with ability to act as a Project Manager;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
