PURPOSE

To support the planning, oversight and implementation of an integrated HR Agenda ensuring successful delivery of both the global HR Operational strategy and the People plans for various business lines in the UK and Ireland.

Through strong and engaging leadership, enable a team of HR professionals to provide expertise, advice and local HR Business partnering support in collaboration with other local and global HR functions.

To drive HR projects, programs and policies to support global/regional/country strategy.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of HR Business Partners in the UK and Ireland who are required to deliver high quality HR support and consultancy to UK and Ireland based business lines. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems/disputes
  • Manage the HR budget and expenses within assigned budget allocations
  • Partner with Business Unit Regional and Global HR Business Partners as required in the design and implementation of solutions to enhance and grow the business (including organizational design and development, management and talent development and employee engagement initiatives) in alignment with and in support of business goals and objectives
  • Develop strong and effective team relationships with HR specialist functions/Centres of Excellence (e.g. HR Shared Services, Compensation and Benefits, Mobility, Learning and Development, Payroll) to ensure delivery against strategic business imperatives
  • Lead implementaton of projects and process improvement acitivities related to employment legislation, HR systems, practices, procedures and compliance
  • Provide input and assist in or lead efforts associated with change management initiatives involving reorganizations, mergers/acquisitions and transfers to ensure compliance to local legislation
  • Act as Business Partner to assigned business areas and ensure that HR delivery adds value to the business.
  • Provide advice and guidance on all aspects related to people management, absenteeism, workforce planning, talent development and management, etc.
  • Provide HR oversight for the Ireland Operation focusing on continuing T&Cs and process harmonisation activities and supporting the benefit administration
  • Provide required analytics and people reporting data to support business requirements

Work Experience

  • Bachelor Degree/ Master's Degree
  • Minimum 6 years of experience within an HR function as a senior HR generalist or combination of generalist and specialist experience (must have worked within the 3-legged HR delivery model - HR BP/CoE/HR SS)
  • At least 2 years direct line management experience
  • Experience with supporting senior/executive management team
  • Experience working in a matrixed organisation

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • CIPD qualified
  • LEAN/Six sigma certified
