Submission for the position: Manager, Import/Export (Global Clinical Supplies) - (Job Number: 166131)We have a new vacancy in the EMEA region for a Manager, Import/Export Team in the Global Clinical Supplies group.

The Global Clinical Supplies Department consists of approximately 200 employees located in all regions of the world. This role contributes to the overall strategic objectives of the department by completing assigned objectives in a timely and error free manner and offering our internal and external clients innovative clinical supplies management services.

Key responsibilities:

Manages daily operational activities of the department staff.Effectively oversees assigned staff projects to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Serves as a point of escalation for department related issues and concerns.Interacts with both internal and external management level peers to resolve day to day challenges and issues.Responsible for performance assessments and annual review of their direct reports. Focuses on end results using metrics and key performance indicators to manage performance.Make recommendations in workload organization.

Identifies, manages, trains, and provides performance feedback for direct staff,ensuring appropiate customer service/communications and compliance . Sets goals for direct reports based on departmental objectives and performance.Monitors and validates metrics and weekly/monthly reports for assigned group.Makes strategy recommendations at Departmental, Project, and TeamMeetings

Participates in the bidding process and/or bid defense opportunities.Ensures the effective resource and utilization management of staff to meet departmental targets set by senior leadership. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent health country discipline and /or Logistics/Foreign Trade degree.Deep knowledge of local regional and global regulations covering all kind of Import and Exports activities is essential5-8 years of experience in foreign trade activities, logistics and line management activities is essentialUnderstanding Pharmaceutical-Biotechnological-CRO Industry business, beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Direct experience with line management, training, career development,the import/ exports operations:Import and export planning and development Maintenance of Import and Exports Files according to PPD requirements, Client requirements and applicable Regulations. Understanding of International Trade Agreements as long as to keep a tight tracking of all regulatory changes concerning Import and Exports activitiesVery strong communication skills both written and verbal is a must. Fluent English skills are required as well as the local language of the country you are based.

Excellent interpersonal skills and problem solving/decision making skills.Demonstrate effective leadership and team building skillsStrong computer skills: working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, and Microsoft Word is requiredStrong organizational skills requiredStrong multi-tasking skills required#LI-MC2
