Senior Corporate Tax Analyst

Labcorp, an S&P 500 company, currently has a career opportunity for a Senior Corporate Tax Analyst to join our domestic tax team at our global headquarters in Burlington, NC. This professional will work closely with the team, including the domestic tax manager and VP of tax, to maintain tax compliance in jurisdictions nationwide, including all 50 states. In addition to compliance work, this role will also include tax research and analysis of tax law, assistance with various state audits, identification of tax savings opportunities, and other special projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare workpapers and tax returns for federal, state and local jurisdictionsCalculate quarterly estimated payments and extensionsAssist with state and local income, franchise and sales tax auditsPeriodically reconcile tax accountsAssist with US domestic tax provision calculationsWork with outside service providers to maintain sales and use tax complianceResearch and interpret tax laws and regulationsRespond to inquiries and notices from domestic tax authorities

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting with preference for concentration in Tax2+ years of related experience in US federal and/or state tax, preferably with experience at a large accounting firmCPA strongly preferredOutstanding written and oral communication skillsCorptax experience a strong plusOther systems experience desired includes MS Office Suite, Vertex, Checkpoint, PeoplesoftEducation/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting2+ years of related experience in US federal and/or state taxExperience:
