As anAssociate Scientist / Scientist,you will join the Small Molecule Analytical Development and Quality Control efforts in Small Molecule Pharmaceutical Sciences. You will accomplish our mission through innovation and collaboration with our subject matter experts, creative problem-solving, Design of Experiments, and use of state-of-the-art lab automation technologies.

Responsibilities for the role on site at a major biotechnology company: Designing and performing high-throughput formulation screenings (HTS) for novel dosage forms, excipient compatibility, stability and drug release, powder blending and compaction, salt/crystal/polymorph characterization, solubility determinations, process chemistry, and other analytical research studies supporting early-phase drug development.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree/Master's Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 1 year) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Scientist level: Previous experience that is comparable to 2 years of experience

In some cases,an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience in robotic liquid and solid handlers, IR, Raman, UV, and mass spectrometry, UPLC, LC, particle sizing, XRPD, microscopy Backgrounds in lab automation, lipid nanoparticle and other drug delivery systems, dissolution/permeation kinetics and IVIVC modeling, solid state characterization a plus Experience in high-content data visualization, mining, and programming is a plus. Previous small molecule industry experience a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of applicable regulatory authority, compendia and ICH guidelines

Ability to understand and independently apply GMPs and /or GLPs to everyday work about documentation and instrument use

Experience working with Tecan a plus

Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to perform tasks

Ability to independently optimize analytical methods

Good written and oral communication skills

Time management and project management skills

Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities

Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team
