At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for a Manager, Global Scientific Affairs to join the Medical Affairs team in the US.

What you will do:

Lead the Global Scientific Affairs (SA) Team by helping set priorities, proper delegation and oversight of the team members' responsibilities to ensure the consistency/ accuracy of the department's deliverables on a timely bases. Provide solutions to both internal and external customers throughout the life-cycle of clinical studies; from providing business development support, activities around project awards and supporting operations. Guide the team to work cross-functionally to facilitate strategic solutions that support the evolution of the laboratory testing menu and communication of scientific updates.

The Role:Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which center around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.As a Manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.Ensure all Global SA processes are documented through Working Practice Guidelines, Process Flows and SOPs to ensure consistency in deliverables across the Global SA Team.Provide leadership and mentorship to the team by working on day to day activities; such as addressing queries, researching new tests/methods, and evolving the global laboratory testing capabilities.Oversee the implementation and communication of Scientific Updates both within ICL and to external clients.Design and develop processes to ensure proposal solutions are prepared within required timelines.Evaluate and understand client requirements for incoming Request for Proposals (RFPs) and when required work with Lab Leadership to propose a high quality, client focused, fit-for-purpose solution for the proposal.Ensure that the appropriate personnel including subject matter experts, Senior Management, Operations and Sales are involved as required throughout the proposal generation process. Elevate high potential key opportunities and any issues or concerns.Identify required department metrics, address any metrics that fall outside agreed TATs and introduce corrective and/or preventive actions as required.Travel (approximately 20%) domestic and/or international.To perform additional relevant responsibilities as requested by Senior Management.
