Product Manager – User Community and NLP Search Portals

Linguamatics is looking for an experienced professional to nurture and expand our active community of application users.  As part of the Product Management team, you will have the opportunity to become Product Owner for one of applications themselves. With direct interactions with user via the Community Site, you will understand the market and be well-placed to put the customer’s needs at the heart of the development process. This role would ideally suit someone who understands the software development process and who is keen to engage in our user community. 

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the Linguamatics Community and driving growth via new content, user engagement, and customer communications like monthly newsletters
• Ensure that the Community Site is up-to-date with the latest Linguamatics product updates and in step with each product lifecycle
• Act as an internal and external champion for the Community Site; continuously improve the platform and workflows around it
• Report on Community usage
• As Product Owner for our Web Portals offering,
• understand the market need, maintain the roadmap and work closely with the development team to successfully deliver product updates.
• Work with Account Managers and Application Specialists to define and deliver customer projects; attend customer meetings to understand requirements and ongoing delivery
• Develop an implementation package for customers, application and query developers, and support with documentation, “how to” videos and sample code
• Develop marketing materials, including videos, presentations, and collateral; maintain a demo server.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with Agile SCRUM development process.
• Ideally some relevant experience in marketing, community management, or developer relations roles, however we would consider someone with the right skillset to foster and manage a technical user community; you should be able to demonstrate how you’ve been able to build or grow a community
• Familiarity using content management systems, e.g. Drupal, Django.
• Experience of managing developer needs through the production of website and supporting resources
• Ability to create engaging content: videos, web pages, blog posts and surveys. Links to videos that you have created should be sent with your application, if possible. 
• Strong project management skills and dedication to product quality
• Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable in an outward facing role, with a solid ability to communicate with both general and technical audiences
• Market research and product marketing experience: You should be able to demonstrate how you’ve been able to understand your market, customers and competition and then apply this information to your growth strategies
