PURPOSE
Provides project specific database support. Assists the Set-Up Manager with the designing of a Clinical Research protocol and its’ LIMS database. The position must be conversant with database configuration process and the configuration specifications. Works with Project Management to assist in the creation and submission of valid, comprehensive Database Change Requests. Provides expertise on database configuration offering input, as needed, on study design. Covers both the configuration and programming aspect of the database design
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees creation, submission & assignment of Database Change Requests
Creation and management of phase and item elements within Laboratory Information Systems (LIS/LIMS)
Provides troubleshooting support to Global Project Services Department, by gathering information, generating audit system reports, researching problems, and facilitating communications related to technical aspects of study design
Works closely with Project Services Management Team to drive resolution to Quality Incidents
Assists Project Services Team with any programming queries affecting design and functionality of studies. Undertakes tasks associated with Programming, Validation and Development as and when required – and where a timely response is necessary.
Develops training materials in conjunction with the Global/Regional Trainers
Monitors the QLAB PS Technical Support mailbox and investigates issues through to resolution, taking the lead on making Technical decisions and disseminating this information to the relevant departments
Works closely with Tech Support and IT on any issues requiring time dedicated to testing the Setup/Project management functions used on a daily basis, providing support to UAT where required.
Performs other duties as required, under the direction of the Project Services Group
