Job Summary Guide the activities of a developing imaging, image analysis, and artificial intelligence laboratory that will provide support to the research branches, laboratories and programs. Subject Matter Expert on application of deep learning to digital image analysis of samples for anatomical pathology. The selected scientist shall guide the activities of technical and professional staff, and function as an advisory and consultative resource for post-doctoral fellows, research investigators, and scientists involved in a variety of research programs. Innovate methods of quantitative analyses fora variety of research programs in need of numerical endpoints Automate object based image segmentation for digital analyses that have traditionally been limited to pixel based or manual methods Develop and verify convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for digital image analysis and train staff in their application, quality control, and interpretation. Job Qualifications Requires PhD in the sciences, DVM or MD pathologist or a PhD scientist

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience/expertise in digital pathology, image analysis, and artificial intelligence, and shall be well-versed in applying these techniques to research in biological sciences, toxicology, and toxicologic pathology.

Desired skill:

Experience collaborating with developers ofdeep learing, AI based image analysis platforms in the construction/training of algorithms for pathology research.
