Director, IT - End-user Digital Experience

Role Description:


•    The leader of the End User Digital Experience Team is responsible for optimizing the experience of internal IQVIA staff through leadership of the following services:

  •    Workstation Experience (Windows, MacOS)
  •     Virtual Applications & Desktops
  •     Mobile Device Management
  •     SaaS Single-Sign-On
  •     Directory Services
  •     Anti-Malware Management
  •    Software Packaging, Distribution & Patching.

•    Collaborate with business leaders, third party vendors and suppliers to develop and manage the long-term strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment to overall business objectives for the above services.
•    Proactively identify opportunities to develop services or to introduce new and innovative services with the aim to improve the user experience and productivity as well as to enable the IQVIA Future of Work program.
•    Manage the overall program of individual projects within an agreed roadmap, with a focus on communication of scope and status, on-time and on-budget delivery.
•    Work with other IT teams to implement projects within a shared strategic roadmap and prioritized project plan.
•    Work with an existing managed service provider to ensure that operational KPIs are met and improved and on roadmap project delivery. Plan for ongoing resource & capacity requirements. 
•    Effectively manage team resources and delegate tasks commensurate with skill level, evaluating workload and quality through regular review.
•    Effectively negotiate across various business stakeholders to establish objectives, priorities and agree schedule(s).
•    Create supporting business cases, including financial impact and benefits statements, to support IT Solutions.
•    Provide technical leadership and management for IT solutions from conception through deployment.
•    Provides business guidance and leadership to project teams.
•    Define metrics to measure success of program or IT solution, analyze results and partner across the organization to develop action plans and enhancement recommendations.
•    Define or improve lifecycle processes for operating systems, platforms, and applications; including ensuring supportability, security posture, and regular security patching of all components of the services.
•    Guide and mentor operational teams, and provide them a technical escalation point.
•    Adjusts plan accordingly to consider IQVIA new product/service offerings as well as significant changes to business conditions. Managing direct reports activities.
•    Manage the department budget within the wider CIO budget process.

Requirements:


•    Bachelor’s Degree.
•    (Ten) 10+ years relevant IT or IT leadership experience.
•    Requires broad management knowledge to lead teams, and well as the ability to influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, procedures, and goals.
•    Problem solving, negotiation, planning, relationship building, presentation, and written and oral communication skills are essential.
•    Ability to set vision and direction.
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and influence decisions across to multiple levels of audience, both technical and executive.
•    Travel (national and international) when required.
•    Significant experience in Agile and/or Kaizen environments.
•    A proven track record of learning, leadership and mentoring.
•    Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
