Job Description Summary

Manage the Security and Privacy of products/solutions projects, assignments, training and staff. The Manager of Security and Privacy applies experience and extensive knowledge of security, regulatory and privacy principles for the organization to solve problems and diagnose exposures / incidents. The Manager of Security and Privacy evaluates, monitors, and systematically recommends corrective actions for Security, Privacy and related incidents as brought from clients, internal IQVIA staff or other sources. Professionally conducts reviews with a high level of communication that yields quality results.

The Manager of Security and Privacy is expected to have 5 or more years of overall security and privacy management experience, with a good understanding of the pharmaceutical / health care industry regulations. Some of the required technical skills and abilities include a working knowledge of:

  • Act as a resource on all aspects of Information Security and Privacy related guidelines and regulations
  • Understanding and application of domestic and international Information Security and Privacy requirements.
  • Extensive experience auditing software vendors and hosting customer audits.
  • Perform and support the assessment of security and privacy incidents, client-based security and privacy assessments
  • Draft SOPs and guide in the development of WIs for Information Security and Privacy
  • Strong analytic skills with practical knowledge of how to identify key Information Security and Privacy metrics to set targets for maintaining a state of compliance while identifying areas for improvement.
  • Authoring and peer review of Information Security and Privacy related architecture and changes within Applications.
  • Outstanding communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written).
  • Proven track record of industry success.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
