The Pricing & Market Access Senior Consultant and Consultant will manage multiple project teams to gather insights, generate final deliverables and provide recommendations focused on key pricing and market access issues for our clients. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic, exceptionally communication and ability to thrive in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage P&MA consulting projects from initiation to completion phase while overseeing the work of junior team members Responsible for generating high quality deliverables on time, driving project performance, and maintaining high client satisfaction through proactive client interaction and engagement Provide guidance on project direction, methodology and execution, in conjunction with project lead Develop and execute overall work plans, guide and conduct research and analysis efforts, manage project teams, train and mentor junior team members, and interact with clients Conduct secondary research, qualitative research, and quantitative analysis to obtain key insights Analyze analog product environments and competitive landscapes via secondary research Provide market insights and recommendations by leveraging in-depth knowledge of US market access (Payer, IDN, Trade) landscape, healthcare reform, claims data and managed care data Develop US and global pricing and reimbursement strategies and execution plans, value evidence plans and integrated scientific advice for evidence generation optimization and inform in-licensing decision support and early pricing/global pricing strategy Develop value stories and testing, payer dossier, value communication tools, HTA submission dossiers Conduct payer advisory boards, payer/KOL workshops ​​​Train and mentor junior team members A Senior Consultant will serve as US pricing and market access expert applying expertise during client engagements and thought leadership initiatives Requirements: Graduate degree life science, economics, business or related field is required; PharmD/PhD/MPH/MS/MBA/ is preferred 5+ years Consultant/10+ years Sr Consultant of relevant P&MA experience 2+ years Consultant/5+ years Sr Consultant of US P&MA experience 2+ years of consulting experience managing medium-large size projects (initiation to completion) Strong project management skills (proactive management of project and team to ensure objectives, milestones, and timelines are met efficiently and effectively to produce high quality deliverables) Deep working knowledge of US health care system, reimbursement environment and evidence requirements; familiarity with global HTA health care markets Familiarity with drug registration, coverage, and reimbursement requirements for government sponsored healthcare programs (ie. Medicare, Medicaid, VA) Experience building payer and provider value propositions and conducting targeted message testing Experience conducting qualitative research with payers and providers to highlight potential barriers to access and inform mitigation and engagement strategies Proficiency across various consulting and payer and pricing research methodologies, including the execution of primary & secondary research, quantitative and qualitative analysis Experience in research, data analysis, interpretation, recommendations, reporting and presentation Experience arranging discussion groups, creating surveys, interviewing respondents, analyzing and visualizing data Able to synthesize large amounts of data into discrete key messages to determine the “so-what” and provide both strategic and tactical recommendations to clients Able to critically analyze clinical, economic, humanistic and pricing data QualificationsRequirements continued:A Sr Consultant will have the ability to provide market insights by leveraging in-depth knowledge of market access (Payer, IDN, Trade) landscape, private and healthcare payers, healthcare reform, and managed care data Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills Strong proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Preferred Experience and Skills:Deep knowledge all payer and distribution channels including commercial health plans, PBMs, Medicare, Medicaid, VA/DoD, employer, pharmacy, wholesalers, specialty pharmacies/distributors, Trade and GPO’s Experience and deep understanding of payer delegated models and strategies, inclusive of CMS Star Ratings, HEDIS, CAHPS, HCC, quality and utilization, and financial/actuarial models such as capitation, shared savings, and payment bundles Experience developing pricing, reimbursement, and contracting strategies for new product launches and marketed products Experience designing and implementing value-based contracts, payer decision making tools, contract results monitoring Demonstrated knowledge of legal, regulatory, and operational aspects of managed care In depth knowledge of managed care contracts and hospital managed care finance, claims payment, methodologies, procedures, controls and CPT, HCPCS, NDC, ICD-10, DRG coding Solid foundational knowledge of Medicare payment systems (i.e., inpatient hospital, outpatient hospital, physician office, Medicare Part B vs D, and/or other payment setting/schedule) Experience identifying opportunities and executing strategies for obtaining separate, unique Medicare payment in various settings of care Experience with pricing, analytic modeling and forecasting Experience assessing coding, conducting payment analyses across various payer channels and developing channel strategies Experience assessing coverage landscapes and payer management across priority channels Experience conducting market sizing, segmentation, patient flows, and penetration analyses across various data sets Strong understanding of the global payer environment, including knowledge of EU and Emerging Markets payers and trends, including HTA trends and guidance (NICE, AMCP, PBAC, etc.), reimbursement methodologies, pricing/reimbursement authorities’ decision-making process, and current reimbursement issues EEO DisclaimerParexel is an equal opportunity employer.  Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to legally protected status, which in the US includes race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
