Our corporate activities are growing rapidly, and we are currently seeking a part-time 2nd shift office-based Security Guard to join our Facilities team. This position will work on a team to accomplish tasks and projects that are instrumental to the company’s success. Responsibilities Report daily surveillance activity and important occurrences to Security Supervisor; Patrol campus regularly, per defined security routines, to maintain order and establish presence; Check surveillance cameras to identify disruptions or unlawful acts; Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation; Ensure all exits, doors and windows are secured after end of operations; Monitor and authorize vehicles or people on the property; Pickup employees or guests of Medpace as needed from hotel and/or apartments; Maintain a neat and orderly security room; Maintain a neat and orderly security car; Maintain inventory of all security equipment including, but not limited to, traffic cones, air compressor, battery charger, etc.; Call local authorities should trespassers or wrongdoers need removed from the area; Provide assistance to individuals on campus as needed; Provide day-to-day departmental support activities as necessary. Examples include: shipping, filing, faxing, managing inventory and orders, front desk coverage, etc.; Communicate facilities-related matters and concerns to management as appropriate; Regularly utilize technology and systems to receive and respond to calls; Complete all assigned safety and training programs; Maintain a safe working environment; Assist with internal and external property-related custodial needs; Complete reports and document all incidents/activities during shifts in accordance with SOPs/Manuals/Guidelines; Sustain the highest levels of professional conduct and customer service maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor; and May be responsible for other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications High School Diploma and 0-2 years experience in a security related function; Current and legal Driver's License; Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and ladders; Demonstrated ability to follow procedures directed by work orders, peers and/or supervisor; Working knowledge of basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, Internet based systems and electronic work order system(s); Ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision; Demonstrated ability to adequately communicate (written and oral) with employees and external parties, as necessary; and Knowledge of the work hazards and applicable safety precautions associated with the area of work assignment Why Medpace?
