Omnichannel Marketing Consumer Delivery Lead

Position Purpose:
Manages team of client services professionals delivering Consumer Marketing measurement and optimization projects for clients in the pharmaceutical or related industries. Individuals reporting to the Omnichannel Consumer Delivery Lead will be assigned to one or more client projects and reporting day-to-day to the leads of those projects in a matrix organization.

The Omnichannel Consumer Delivery Lead in contrast is accountable for the overall management of the team itself – this role will create a team culture of continuous improvement and growth, managing the success of the Consumer Delivery function as a whole and the individuals that make up that team. This resource is accountable for ensuring the team is establishing and continuously improving best practices for its client delivery with the goals of client satisfaction and delivery efficiency. Effectively managing the growth of the team, establishing and pulling through coaching plans, navigating internal and external team dynamics are all critical to success in this role. 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Directly manages the team of delivery professionals: assessing skill and capability gaps, creating growth plans, coaching and mentoring the team in best practices and alignment to team and company objectives.
  • Proactively tracks and manages team utilization across projects. Aligns best combination of team resources to client projects based on skills, expertise and team fit. 
  • Based on existing and forecasted utilization needs, coordinates headcount usage with HR including talent acquisition and onboarding,
  • Ensures subject matter experts within the team are creating best practices that are documented and continuously measured and improved upon through regular and formal reviews using best practices and with the assistance of other Omnichannel experts. Ensures team is appropriately trained on best practices and standard procedures. Holds team accountable for following them.
  • Coaches team on effective ways of working within a matrixed organization particularly in areas of communication and issue escalation. 
  • Handles escalations of issues from the team to other parts of the IQVIA organization as needed, after coaching the individuals doing the escalation appropriately. Handles escalations to the Delivery team from outside regarding team performance.
  • Identifies opportunities for project efficiencies through utilization of offshore resources and actively drives cost efficiencies wherever possible and practical. Partners with other IQVIA resources to understand offshore capabilities and best practices.
  • Partners with other Delivery Lead resources to establish cross-Omnichannel delivery best practices, particularly for client projects involving multiple lines of the business.
  • Proactively continues to strengthen subject matter expertise through on the job experience, participation in conferences and symposia for professional knowledge sharing.
  • Proactively mentors, coaches, and shares subject matter expertise with others to elevate our capabilities to deliver world-class solutions for clients. 
  • Takes a leadership role in the completion of internal projects.
  • Assists with recruitment, learning, and development of junior staff.

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or work or military equivalent, with 8-12 years of related experience, including consulting and pharmaceutical and / or healthcare industry experience. 
  • 5+ years of direct people leadership experience including teams of over 5 individuals in a matrixed organization where direct reports are assigned in various degrees to projects under the leadership of others.
  • Experience and accountability with leading the setup of consulting services project best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrates excellent resource and project management skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to build relationships with all levels of the organization, both within and external to the team.
  • Must be proficient with MS-Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities, and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques related to functional area.

Ideal Candidates will Also Possess:

  • In-depth understanding of IQVIA data assets and the Consulting and Services core offerings with a strong focus on consumer patient level data.
  • Strong understanding of media consumption data such as online, print, radio, and television viewing behavior.
  • Knowledge of advertising campaign management and optimization.
