Parexel has an exciting opportunity for US Home based, Associate Director, Resource Management. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Resource Management, this position requires an individual who is a high energy, strategic thinking resource professional. The person selected for this position will oversee a team working globally as well as support and partner with all levels of management in a variety of business units.
Essential Function
Resourcing Leader within PRO is responsible for managing various components of demand and supply of resources relating to project delivery and new business wins.
On the demand side, the role of the leader is to drive optimal labor consumption across the portfolio of projects under remit. The current remit comprises of three business units within CRS: II-III, Access, EPD. The focus on optimizing labor consumption should lead to improvements in profitability for PAREXEL while maintaining satisfaction levels with external clients.
On the supply side, the role of the leader is to ensure effective resource deployment of worldwide staff across all II-III, Access and EPD projects both for pre-award and post-award needs. By partnering with global operations this leader will provide guidance on capacity gaps/needs while ensuring optimal labor utilization of available staff.
Further, the leader is required to develop a robust level of infrastructure encompassing (1) high-end analytics leading to business insights and critical business decisions (2) lean and simplified resourcing process (3) technology platform that can house and manage large volume of transactions with speed and efficiency (4) external and internal training roadmap and curriculum (5) communication charter and roadmap (6) stakeholder survey and action plan management and (7) PRO marketing materials and PRO Sharepoint management.

Directly Supervises a team of Analysts and Consultants, Line Managers
Provides Work Direction to Provides direction to Analysts and Consultants and Line Managers whether direct reports or by matrix
Works Closely with Business Development, Strategic Account Leaders, Portfolio Directors, BU Heads, CDU Heads, Project Leaders, Global Operational Leaders

Key Accountabilities
Demand Management
• Demand Processing and Management
• Optimize labor consumption
• Address overconsumption via effective resource release process
• Resource leveling and balancing across projects and portfolio
• Escalation management for critical new business and current resourcing needs
• Advisory services and guidance on resourcing “narratives” for internal and external C-level stakeholders
Supply Management
• Critical role identification for new business needs
• Timely deployment of staff for post-award needs and planning for future demand
• Function-level forecasting, workforce and capacity planning guidance to operations
• Ensure assignment data accuracy and compliance to systems and processes
• Focus on best practices to drive process efficiency leading to simplified and cost effective resourcing process
• Continuous improvement and focus on value-add services relating to supply planning
Resourcing Infrastructure
• Analytics to drive labor consumption decisions
• E2E resourcing process; SOPs and manual updates
• PRO business requirements ownership and liaison to CRS technologies/IT
• External training focused on PL/PS/FL; Internal training for PRO staff development
• Communication roadmap, Marketing materials, PRO Sharepoint updates

Minimum Work Experience
Relevant work experience in CRO or pharmaceutical field
Line management experience
Understanding of clinical research platforms required
Resource planning experience preferred
Years of experience, 8+
Education
Bachelors or Master’s degree required; MBA is a plus
Language Skills
