The US & Canada Regional Business Unit (RBU) has an exciting opportunity available for a Director, Operations role.  The dynamic and ambitious individual selected for this role will have the opportunity to learn about the multi-faceted US commercial and clinical businesses while serving as the strategic business partner to our client segmentation leaders for Emerging BioPharma (EBP) and MedTech.  This person will also partner with Finance and Commercial Operations to develop new RBU level sales analytics and productivity measures. The role will report directly to the SVP of Finance, US & Canada.

Essential Functions

  • Support EBP and MedTech growth plans serving as a trusted strategic business and thought partner providing strong business, financial and operational acumen
  • Assist in defining EBP and MedTech RBU client segment mappings and utilize as foundation to influence alignment of global IQVIA definitions
  • Manage month-end, monthly forecasting, client and project level reporting, annual budgeting and long-term strategic planning
  • Develop and administer EBP and MedTech sales incentive targets and payout calculations
  • Build pricing models for EBP and MedTech specific offerings and client packages
  • Help design the EBP PMO and delivery excellence strategy, operating model and organization
  • Work with SVP of Finance to define RBU level Sales analytics, KPIs and metrics to measure productivity and ROI to optimize top line growth and profit margins
  • Support and orchestrate special projects / initiatives of the SVP & GM of EBP, SVP & GM of MedTech, SVP of Finance
  • Establishing excellent working relationships with the RBU EBP, MedTech, Finance and Commercial Operation teams
  • Ad-hoc analysis and decision support
  • Serve as a trusted advisor

Minimum Education, Experience & Specialized Knowledge required

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Masters / MBA (optional)
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in Finance, Business Operations, Project Management or Consulting
  • IQVIA acumen– organizational structure, products, services, systems and ways of working
  • Have a strategic mindset, as well as strong critical thinking, problem solving and project management skills
  • Understanding of general finance, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management
  • Knowledge of business and management principles - including planning process, review, coordination of people and resource and operational success measures
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to manage resources and multiple projects simultaneously under pressure and within deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and communication/relationship building skills
  • Have the presence and credibility to engage and influence senior leadership across multiple business lines and functions
  • Familiarity with SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud, Hyperion, SFDC
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
