Working along with supervision, this position will provide application support, troubleshooting, and analysis for all systems assigned. The position coordinates with developers and other support staff, and interacts with clinical project management teams. As secondary duties this position may gather user requirements, design the functional specifications for systems and reports, and manage various administrative and documentation duties for the systems assigned.

As secondary duties this position may gather user requirements, design the functional specifications for systems and reports, and manage various administrative and documentation duties for the systems assigned. Requires 4-year degree in Computer Science or related area. 4 years’ experience working in a software environment with direct experience in post-deployment production support (end-user support tickets, application monitoring, user data analysis, etc) or equivalent combination of education, professional training, and experience that provide the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Client focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.

Must be able to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Strong understanding of relational database concepts; ability to interact with Relational Databases at an intermediate level.

Demonstrated proficiency in office productivity applications (such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel).

Familiarity with data manipulation or presentation tools (such as SQL, report writing packages or MS Access).

Firm understanding of system development life cycle/methodologies and requirements methodology/types such as Business, User, Functional, and non-Functional.

Good understanding of the clinical research process flow and drug development processes

Ability to effectively manage projects, budgets and timelines.

Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and adapt to changing priorities.

Knowledge of CTMS systems is a plus.

Knowledge of Siebel or Veeva products is a plus.
