The Role

As Senior Director, Sales, you will play a leading role in the sales strategy for ITS, devising and executing on agreed priorities. You will have a highly visible presence within ITS and across the wider IQVIA business, ensuring that we make the most of IQVIA’s place in the healthcare industry.

You will be responsible for generating new profitable lines of business for ITS and creating long-term client relationships.

The primary goal is to win new and retain existing clients by presenting industry-leading language solutions and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You should drive new, profitable revenue opportunities and deliver enterprise-level programmes that both add to the overall IQVIA reputation and position ITS as the client’s chosen strategic language vendor.

This role will be responsible for stimulating an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship and supporting the commercial activities of ITS by promoting and developing a strong brand along with other initiatives that ITS may wish to pursue. You will identify, lead and manage innovative approaches to business challenges and work with teams across the organization to deliver customer centric solutions and services that generate revenue and profit. Working with fellow IQVIA colleagues you will both support the broader IQVIA offering and represent ITS independently.

The role is key to driving ITS revenue streams by presenting innovative, effective and compelling solutions to our client’s language challenges.

The primary goals are to identify & implement innovative solutions, driving efficiencies in the delivery of our business, in order that clients view ITS as an industry-leading language solution provider and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You should look to identify new profitable revenue opportunities to deliver enterprise-level programmes that both add to the overall IQVIA reputation and position ITS as the client’s chosen strategic language vendor.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Build and develop strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside IQVIA
  • Develop relationships with key executives and decision-makers within assigned accounts
  • Establish internal brand recognition with key stakeholders, developing and maintaining collaborative cross functional and business relationships
  • Educate business development & account leads on operational needs/methods and sales techniques needed to close IQT deals
  • Share insights and best practices with account team to replicate successes and generate pipeline
  • Serve as IQT SME during prospecting and client discussions
  • Engage & orchestrate with functional SMEs to progress deals
  • Proactively work within global and regional account/sales management in the pursuit of high-profile business
  • Broaden and deepen relationships across our clients and develop essential strategic alliances across their enterprise
  • Continuously monitor status of ITP leads and opportunities to ensure a pipeline of opportunities is maintained
  • Develop and execute account plans and monitor progress
  • Take a proactive role in contract strategy
  • Lead negotiations in renewing contracts within assigned accounts
  • With the support of the central marketing function, successfully execute our marketing plan
  • Manage, monitor, and report on high priority activities to senior leadership and supporting stakeholders
  • Drive ITS revenue in line with business & sales plans
  • Actively participate in proposal development in response to RFIs, ensuring responses are tailored to meet specific customer requirements & differentiating IQVIA as an agile & customer focused language service provider
  • Work with business development, operations and functional managers to prepare and lead ITP sales presentations, providing input into terms & pricing
  • In consultation with ITS operations and technology teams support in the design of exceptional solutions that position ITS as faster, more accurate, better value and more secure than our competitors

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Relevant experience working in the Language Services industry in client facing roles
  • Proven track record in sales of Localization services within healthcare & specifically Biopharma
  • Strategic business awareness and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep knowledge of language services industry including latest trends
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding presentation skills both to individuals and groups
  • Fluency in English is essential, an additional language would be a strong asset
  • Excellent personal and negation skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines; manage competing priorities and changing demands
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • First class organisational skills
  • A high level of business awareness
