Associate Director, Medical Innovation Lead
PURPOSE: The purpose of this job is to facilitate the definition and implementation of innovation for Medical and Scientific Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Take approved conceptual innovation ideas and lead cross-functional teams through the innovation process to define new technology and process leading to transformation of the Medical process
• Lead innovation transformation initiatives, working with IT, Medical Services SMEs, and Innovation Leads, leading to successful implementation of new/revised technology-led processes
• Define streamlined and innovative standards for each of IQVIA Medical Services key core processes; work closely with global SMEs
• Work in Business Process Management tool to set up and maintain the processes and their associated documentation (e.g., review and approval workflows, outputs that are filed to the TMF, etc)
• May perform training on new process or use of Business Process Management (BPM) system
• Develop/update/maintain process maps to reflect the newly defined processes
• Work with project teams to develop innovative approach to their unique needs, as applicable
• Serve as a resource "go to" person for project teams (e.g., clarification of processes, roles, study management)
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Thorough understanding of Medical Services SOPs and working practices
• Experience at being in Study Team Lead role (5 years of recent experience preferred)
• Innovative, forward thinking
• Understanding of business teams and their relationship to the innovation process
• Exceptional business writing skills
• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility to manage several initiatives with changing priorities
• Strong people skills
• High level of responsiveness
• Adaptable to change; experience in change management
• Solutions oriented, even when way forward is not clear or initial roll-out is not optimal
• Ability to integrate teams to work in complex cross-cultural and changing environment
• Good negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
• 7-10 years of Clinical Research experience
