Database Analyst 1

Job Overview
Responsible for creating and maintaining one or more of the IQVIA databases. Viewed as a subject matter expert for the database.

Essential Functions
• Maintains and enhances the quality on highly complex databases by identifying and implementing quality control measures and procedures.
• Leads the project team and defines assignments/deadlines for those projects identified through the GAP analysis along with those projects flushed out through other data integrity audits of the database.
• Trains new and temporary employees along with current employees to improve upon the individual’s quality assurance and basic/advanced processing competencies.
• Provides project support & coordination, as well as day-to-day maintenance.
• Implements new automation opportunities to create process efficiencies.
• Defines and updates documentation as deemed necessary to maintain the quality of files and databases.
• Implements methodologies to circumvent repetitive issues that occur within the work structure.
• Manipulates database query software and mainframe applications.
• Uploads/downloads data upon demand.
• May work with vendors and external clients.
• May make database presentations to both internal and external customers.
• Provides input to decisions making global impacts on the database.
• Provides direct and indirect supervision and guidance to others.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree  Req
• Five (5) years work experience in a related field Req Or
• Pharmacy Technician with over eight (8) years of retail & hospital. Req
• Experience using mainframe tools such JCL, SAS and IQVIAPACT Pref
• Proficiency in Windows applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Pharmaceutical industry knowledge.
• Ability to upload/download data as needed through various software and mainframe packages.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently.
