Role & Responsibilities

As Consultant on the Patient Experience Solutions (PXS) team you will be actively participating in the design, development, and delivery of consulting projects and patient facing solutions. Consulting skills, understanding of life science methodologies, technical acumen, and ability to understand and define patient journeys are needed to fulfill the responsibilities of the role, which include:

  • Defining PXS and customer strategies for patient centric initiatives
  • Leveraging business and technical experience and acumen in identifying strategic alternatives and project approach to client questions
  • Conducting primary and secondary research with patients and caregivers, such as interviews/focus groups and surveys, and reviewing published literature
  • Performing quantitative or qualitative analysis to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client deliverables
  • Supporting the development of intellectual property for use on future engagements
  • Creating sections of reports, presentations, workshops and other client deliverables, under general guidance from experienced team leaders
  • Communicating findings and recommendations to project teams and to clients
  • Assisting with business development and proposals
  • Developing broad knowledge of related consulting methodologies and pharmaceutical market through the delivery of consulting engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities
  • Development of thought leadership for patient engagement, frameworks, and tool kits for both IQVIA and our customers
  • Support in defining and delivering go-to-market strategies for current and future PXS offerings

Experience in supporting methodological approaches for the following areas are desirable:

  • Strategic consulting – development of strategy, roadmaps, frameworks, playbooks, etc. that can be tailored and applied across multiple clients
  • Patient behavioral analysis – identifying and understanding the key behavioral drivers for adherence, compliance, and retention within studies, solutions, and programs
  • Qualitative research – developing discussion guides, conducting interviews/focus groups, and analyzing qualitative data
  • Preference research – developing vignettes, conducting stated/revealed preference research and analyzing data
  • Digital solution design – understanding key patient workflows and associated data/technologies to enable the desired patient behaviors and experience
  • Patient preference and usability analysis – define the strategies and methodologies to identify patient preferences and apply in clinical study and commercial settings

Essential Experience, Skills and Education Required

  • Demonstrable analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly, adapt and apply new knowledge
  • At least 2+ years’ experience in consulting within the pharmaceutical, healthcare and/or related industry; experience within pharma R&D and/or RWE/D highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in (public health, psychology, health economics, healthcare technology or similar); advanced degree highly preferred
  • Minimum of 1+ years’ project management experience
  • Foundational understanding of how studies are executed and the tools and technologies used to engage with patients before, during, and after the study
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, workshop facilitation, business and report writing
  • Strong capability in juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high-quality outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization and build remote relationships
  • Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries
  • A willingness and ability to travel
