As an Associate Scientist, you will provide analytical testing support as requested by the client with the Process Analytics group. You will perform routine analysis using HPLC (Waters / Empower 2 or 3) ELISA, Gel Electrophoresis and other types of assays.

Additional responsibilities for the role on site at a major biopharmaceutical company:

Performs a variety of routine to complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and/or biological matrices.

Follows validated or experimental analytical procedures with periodic direct supervision.

Responsible for review and compilation of results and data comparison against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol and product specifications

This position is based indoors and will primarily be working with others, but also independently and alone at times. This position is a team-based position that may occasionally require shift work, weekends, and holidays.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a scientific field or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable 1 year) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of applicable regulatory authority, compendia and ICH guidelines

Have experience in pharmaceutical research and development or in providing analytical chemistry support.

Possess working knowledge and/or experience in modern biologic analytical techniques, including HPLC, immunological assays (ELISA), gel and capillary electrophoresis, N-Linked, and peptide mapping, etc.

Have training in or will be trained in areas such as chromatographic methods, use of analytical tools and other pharmaceutical analysis.

Have experience with MS Office.

Have the ability to work effectively in team situations and to work independently as needed. Have the flexibility to succeed in a dynamic and changing environment.

Have a firm command of the English language and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to perform tasks

Good written and oral communication skills

Time management and project management skills

Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities

Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team
