  Job Summary We are seeking an RCS Technician I (Receipt Coordination Shipping) for our Safety Assessment site in Durham, NC.  

Some of the responsibilities are:  Receive, verify and inventory incoming test and control articles, tissues, blocks, and slides.    Determine appropriate storage conditions for all incoming samples with guidance.  Prepare study materials for shipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Federal Shipping Regulations for domestic and international shipments.  Maintain required documentation to demonstrate positive control of study related materials with guidance.  Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and other quality control requirements.  This is an office based position, not warehouse. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  HS or GED.  Basic computer skills.  Good organizational, oral and writtten communication skills required.   Must have excellent attention to detail.  Must be able to frequently walk, sit, stand, reach, bend, twist to move materials.  Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.  Interest in science/biology desired.
