The Global Corporate Communications Director develops, leads and implements Corporate Communications strategies to build the company’s reputation as a leader in the CRO industry through the communication of the company and brand strategy with a priority focus on internal stakeholders. Works collaboratively within a team environment to ensure company communications are effective, accurate and delivered on time and on budget.

Key contributor to companywide communications programs and activities for key internal business partners, from the development of strategy, messaging and planning through the execution and measurement of program deliverables. Develops and implements internal communications strategies for strategic corporate initiatives. Serves as a communications adviser to internal business partners and strategic business units to help build and execute communication and engagement plans to support business initiatives and ensure connection back to the company’s Business Strategy.

Provides back-up support as needed to support additional Internal Communications and External Communications initiatives.

Internal CommunicationsContributes to the development and execution of Internal Communications plans and strategies, including support for general corporate initiatives and key areas within the business (e.g., Clinical Development) to meet company needs.Writes, manages and implements strategic employee communications to ensure high-quality, effective and consistent delivery of key messages and information. Vehicles for delivery may include corporate intranet, blogs and on-line discussion forums, video messages, webcasts, Town Halls and other employee forums.Creates, manages and implements global Internal Communications initiatives to engage employees as active ambassadors in the company brand and key contributors to the organization’s business success. This includes Company-wide Town Halls, the VP Forum, other Internal event support.Contributes and collaborates to ensure a coordinated and well-planned communications cascade to keep Business Development and all employees constantly up to date on the evolution of the company’s brand, service offerings and market positioning/messaging (Better informed employees → better-informed customers → increased market share → financial success).Provides communications support for companywide change initiatives (e.g., strategic reorganization communications) and/or M&A internal communications as needed.Key contributor to the continued development of our corporate intranet site as the primary source of employee news and information. Contributes to development of metrics/analyses that demonstrate the value of Internal Communications efforts to the Company.Acts as liaison with external partners to deliver internal communications projects and programs.Requires travel up to 30% based on project needs, including domestic and international travelQualificationsKnowledge and Experience: 15-20 years of Corporate Communications (Internal Comms) experience, ideally with background that includes External Communications and/or integrated communicationsSeveral years’ experience in CRO/life sciences industry; public company experience preferred

Education:Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications/Strategic Communications or English or equivalent experience required
