  Job Summary We are seeking a Buyer for our Purchasing department site located in Sherbrooke in Canada.

The following are responsibilities related to the Buyer: Plan and coordinate purchasing activities and maintain inventory up to date; Evaluate and manage inventory to ensure all basic materials are available according to the type of studies; Place orders with suppliers; Ship goods to end users; Ensure a close follow up of internal and external orders; Receive and verify all merchandise delivered to the receiving dock; Assist occasionally with the reception of products; File procurement information for future reference; Work in conjunction with the supervisor on sourcing, evaluation and recommendation of new suppliers; Identify business opportunities and potential savings; Ensure the follow-up and implementation of savings Working environnement •    Work remotely and on site in office environment;

•    Flexible working hours. (core hours)  Job Qualifications The following are minimum qualifications related to the Buyer position:

College diploma in a related field or pertinent experience;

3 to 5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing;

Inventory control and purchasing experience is an asset;

Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and laboratory science consumable is an asset; 

People management experience or leadership skills are a strong asset; 

Bilingualism (French and English) spoken and written is mandatory;

 Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;

Good problem solving and analytical skills;
