  Job Summary We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Human Resource Business Partner for our Cognate BioSciences Group site located in Memphis, TN.

 

The following are responsibilities related to the Sr. Manager, Human Resource Business Partner: Reporting to the Executive Director, Global C&G CDMO HR, the Senior Manager, Human Resource Business Partner is accountable for delivering HR services related that drives results for the Company. This position is responsible for consulting with employees and leaders company wide to identify, implement and maintain a high degree of engagement, retention and productivity in the workforce and ensure HR operational excellence. The Sr Manager, HR Business Partner  is responsible for strategic and on the ground tactical human resources support that is aligned to Charles River Laboratories (CRL)policies and guidelines,  business initiatives, and achieve both short and long term organizational objectives. This position may supervise HR Generalist(s)/Business Partner(s), Specialist(s), and/or contractor(s).

Talent Strategy:

-    Working closely with the employees and company leaders to ensure a consistent strategic plan to retain employees and promote strong employee engagement

-    Provide day to day coaching, counseling and support through active participation and accessibility for all company employees

-    Support talent planning, departmental budgeting and approval process

-    Manages the New Hire On-boarding program to align with CRL

-    Drive diversity & inclusion initiatives for the Company

Performance Management:

-    Drive an effective and consistent talent review process aligned with CRL that is embedded across the organization

-    Ensuring successors are identified and developed for key roles

-    Supervise the performance review system ensuring full participation across the organization

-    Provide performance management training and development

Culture, Environment and Inclusion

-    Serve as the employee relations lead to ensure compliance in matters involving employees and visitors

-    Responsible for Title VII coaching, compliance and training

-    Accountable for coaching and mentoring leaders on managing performance issues, progressive discipline, and retention of key staff members.

-    In conjunction with legal and recruitment, manage company Visa and immigration process.

-    Maintain current knowledge of new laws and regulations in the field.

-    Work with internal legal counsel to optimally resolve high risk litigation exposure.

 

Change Management:

-    Periodically review organizational structures (capacity and capabilities) to ensure they are aligned with anticipated company strategy and needs.

-    Provide expert advice and counsel on organizational alignment or new department development as the need arises

Compensation and Benefit Rewards Administration:

-    Oversee the administration of the company benefits including FMLA

-    Counsels and consult with company leaders regarding compensation, and benefits that are based on CRL policies and practices

-    Manage all processes related to company positions, compensation, and pay plans working with COE to insure alignment

  Job Qualifications The following are minimum qualifications related to the Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner position:

-    A Bachelor's Degree from a  accredited institution in a related field or discipline

-    SHRM, HRCA, or other accredited certification preferred.

-    A minimum 7 years of proven human resources experience and achievements in a HR Generalist or HR Business Partner capacity

-    Experience working in a COE environment including compensation,  employee relations, organizational development, talent development, performance management, and diversity.

-    Strong consultative, influencing, conflict management, and facilitation skills

-    Demonstrated ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization in a supportive approach

-    Strong verbal and written communications skills
