We are seeking an Inventory Data Coordinator for our Cognate BioServices site located in Memphis, TN.  The Inventory Data Coordinator will be responsible for updating the Supply Chain Database or any other Warehouse Management System, documenting raw material movements and contributing to the completion of raw material request and submission of purchase requisitions.

The following are responsibilities related to the Inventory Data Coordinator:

•    Maintain integrity of Supply Chain Database & update Inventory Log sheets.

•    Contribute to Raw Material Request completion and Purchase requisition submission.

•    Communicate and manage any potential issues and challenges impacting service to customer or inventory.

•    Support Receiving, Shipping & Purchasing operations as needed.

•    Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.

•    Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items. 

•    Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery. 

•    Provides inventory reports to purchasing and Inventory Manager.

•    Maintains accurate daily records of goods receiving and shipments made.

•    Manages and maintains inventory system; facilities upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory manager. 

•    Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory. 

•    Comply with departmental SOPs and Good Documentation Practices. 

•    Perform other related duties as requested. 

  Job Qualifications  

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Inventory Data Coordinator position:

•    High School Diploma or GED required. (Associate degree preferred.)

•    1 year material handling, inventory control and/or shipping receiving experience preferred. 

•    Experience in an FDA regulated manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.

•    Experience with computerized inventory systems preferred. 

•    Ability to multi-task and quickly refocus as priorities change in a fast-paced environment.

•    Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & Access.

•    Prolonged periods for standing and sitting at a desk working on a computer. 

•    Able to work off-shifts and weekends as job demands dictate.

•    Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance while following proper safety lifting techniques.

•    Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors. 

•    Ability to perform basic math calculations.
