The Analyst will be responsible for supporting business combinations and related strategic projects by assisting in the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, and joint venture opportunities, and will be a key member of LabCorp corporate development function. The Analyst will work with a group of highly motivated teammates with consulting, investment banking, and clinical experience and will be expected to successfully manage multiple work streams and effectively communicate analyses within the team and with senior executives. </span></span></p><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;"><strong><em><span style="background: white;">The Analyst in this role is responsible for: </span></em></strong></span></p><ul><li style="list-style-type: none;"><ul><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Manage and perform rigorous analysis of operational and financial impact of potential transactions and valuation analysis (comparable companies, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow, and related investment returns).</span></li><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Provide analytic support in planning and executing of strategic growth initiatives spanning all facets of the M&A process, including identification, assessment, due diligence, negotiations, and closing.</span></li><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Participate in and assist with preparation for meetings and due diligence sessions with target company management and external investment advisors (e.g., investment bankers, lawyers, and accountants).</span></li><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Help Develop memoranda, presentations, and detailed financial analyses that is presented to senior management.</span></li><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Support adhoc projects and other administrative tasks to enhance the group's infrastructure and improve connectivity with LabCorp business operations.</span></li><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.</span></li></ul></li></ul><h2>Education/Qualifications:</h2><ul><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Self-starter with ability to think and work independently and problem solve.</span></li><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">License/Certification/Education: Normally a B.S. in Accounting or related field and 1-3 years of experience.</span></li></ul><h2>Experience:</h2><ul><li style="color: #000000;"><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;"><strong><em><u><span style="background: white;">Required skills: </span></u></em></strong></span></p><ul><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related analytical field from an accredited program.</span></li><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Some direct transaction / valuation experience desired.</span></li><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Financial / analytical skills: strong quantitative background; detailed knowledge of financial statements and valuation methodologies; ability to create detailed financial and operational models.</span></li><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Presentation skills: comfortable assembling detailed analyses and comprehensive strategic rationale in PowerPoint.</span></li><li style="background: white; color: black;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: verdana, geneva;">Communication skills: ability to research, synthesize, and concisely convey work plans, analyses, and transaction rationale.
