Hospital Reference Test Clerk

<p><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">LabCorp is seeking a Hospital Reference Test Clerk to join our hospital support team in Chicago, IL.This position will be responsible for preparing and sending specimens and test requests to LabCorp and/or contracted reference laboratory for testing, as well as releasing referral test results into the computer system.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">The schedule for this position will beMonday - Friday 4:30pm-1:00am. Every Other Saturday 11:00am-3:00pm</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";"><strong>Job Duties/Responsibilities: </strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">Send test requests to proper location and release test results</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquires</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">Provide support to various areas of the laboratory</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">Maintain a clean and safe work environment</span></li> </ul>
