As Associate Director, Contracts you will be responsible for:Line Management responsibilities, including:Performance management and staff developmentTraining / mentoring / coachingWorkflow managementLeadership of Contract Management staffOverall management responsibility for the contract process for specific or varied accounts including coordination of Operations, Project Management, Legal, Business Development and Finance to prepare, review, and negotiate contract documents and associated budgets.Serve as primary client contact during the negotiation process as requiredSupport development of account specific standards for contracts, including presentation of budget, payment terms, standard contract language, etc., and discussion/negotiation with client as appropriateLead or participate in the development and testing of tools and proceduresSupport Director/ Sr. Director in providing operational support services. Ensuring robust operating model including related business processes, organizational alignment, measurement of results, and achievement of benefitsOversees and/or conducts activities to assure development; evolution and implementation of department proceduresFacilitates liaison between all company groups in matters relating to contract proceduresNegotiates business deals as necessary to support Parexel businessIdentifies resource needs, facilitates acquisition of needed resources, and manages resource planProvides managerial and supervisory guidance and structure for staff encouraging high motivation and retention. Oversee and/or conduct activities to assure development of staffContinually improves and innovates in response to growing / evolving business needs and ensure support operations are fit to needQualificationsSkillsProven negotiator at senior levels on large dealsDynamic, energetic, positive thinker, with ability to engage and motivate a distributed teamExcellent organizational, management and business skillsExcellent interpersonal and exceptional verbal and written communication skillsProven track record of managing a large global multicultural team in a growing environmentProven leadership skills and ability to drive change and influence at a senior levelProven people management and development skillsHigh-energy, hands-on, results oriented, management style; able to set priorities and drive operational and cultural changeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated initiative and exceptional organizational skills; ability to meet strict deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team. Lean Six Sigma green or black belt preferredExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Business or equivalent. MBA, Ph.D. or equivalent preferredLanguage SkillsFluent in English, oral and writtenMinimum Work ExperienceMinimum 5-7 years management experience including relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry or CROMinimum 12 years contract management experienceExperience of managing all aspects of project live cycle, from bid to deliveryKnowledge of clinical trials and/or industry experience.
