  Job Summary We are seeking a SEND Supervisor for our SEND department site located in Senenville, Montreal (remote).

 

The following are responsibilities related to the SEND Supervisor :  Responsible for personnel management activities such as but no limited to: providing regular direction and feedback on performance, personnel actions: hiring, progress monitoring, promotions, transfers, etc.; prioritization of the activities, ensuring continuous training and development, providing regular direction and retroaction to staff, disciplinary actions and preparing and delivering performance results and salary reviews. Acts as a role model to team members by demonstrating Charles River core values. Act as point of contact for Study Directors and/or other study related scientific staff for questions on SEND deliverables. Review and revise staff availability in conjunction with the SEND schedulers May coordinate with the SEND analysts regarding the on-time delivery of answers to client’s comments on shipped SEND packages. If needed, assist the SEND analysts to get scientist and /or Study Director’s input on information needed to complete SEND package. Alert management to risks potentially affecting quality or delivery timelines. Ability to work independently and to escalate issues to management and participate in any necessary troubleshooting/problem solving. Oversees  daily  activities  and  supervises  the   SEND  employees.    Ensure optimum group performance. Recommend short-term objectives, organizational structure, staffing requirements, and succession plans. Participate in local and global initiatives to implement or improve processes. Support the policy of equal employment opportunities through affirmative action in personnel actions. Ensure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements and to global, harmonized and or departmental policies, administrative policies, safety procedures and biosafety protocols. Assist with internal and external SEND communications. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

 

 

The following are minimum qualifications related to the SEND Supervisor position:

•    Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) in Business Administration or related discipline

•    Experience: Two to four years of supervisory experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

•    Other: This position requires a self-motivated person, with a naturally curious mindset and a very high level of interpersonal skills. Previous experience with interfacing with customers would be seen as a plus. Requires great attention to detail. Requires great oral and written communication skills. Ability to work well in a sometimes stressful team environment as well as independently. Ability to adhere to timelines. Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate last minute request. Ability to travel as needed; limited travel is expected.
