Parexel is looking to hire an Oncology Franchise Leader to join our Global Medical Services organization. This role will report into the Senior Vice President, Global Medical Services. The Oncology Franchise Leader will be responsible for growing Parexel's Oncology franchise by building the franchise in close coordination with the other Oncology/Hematology Franchise leaders, leading team of physicians, creating and implementing a winning strategy in the Oncology space. The Global Oncology Franchise Leader will differentiate Parexel in the Oncology space by leading our Oncology team in the creating and implementation of a winning strategy

The Oncology Franchise includes the following therapeutic areas: Breast and Gynecology; Gastro-Intestinal, Genito-Urinary, Lung-Head & Neck, Phase I and rare Melanoma, Sarcoma, CNS; Hematology, Cell & Gene therapy

In addition to setting the strategic direction and leading the team, the Oncology Franchise Leader will provide medical and scientific leadership both internally and externally (with clients) in support of Parexel’s overall strategy and objectives. This includes delivering medical and scientific expertise to clients and colleagues from other departments in the areas of business development, study design/optimization, and overall development strategies. Expectation is that significant portion of the individuals time will be spent in a client facing capacity and new business awarded in the Oncology space will be a key performance metric.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include working with and advising clients / pharmaceutical companies on medical strategies and innovations that inform company direction interacting directly with senior leaders at clients / pharmaceutical companies to build relationships and advance collaboration watch the scientific advances in the oncology arear to lead and train the Parexel teams so that the latest innovations in the Oncology/Hematology drug development space can be swiftly implemented interact and collaborate with senior Parexel leaders in sales, project leadership, clinical operational delivery, statistics, regulatory, consulting, to build winning strategies and delight our customers support/overview project / study delivery by mentoring, advising the team or directly support the project delivery when involvement of a senior leader can make the difference build and maintain a network of academic medical leaders / KOL who can be consulted QualificationsDesired experience and education this individual will bring includes the following Oncology background; experience in solid tumors Name recognition in the oncology space Proven and applied expertise in clinical drug development at a senior level position, in the CRO and/or pharmaceutical industry. Prior academic/clinical patient care experience within the TA Experience in clinical research, as an investigator or sub-investigator; laboratory research in TA related topics preferred but not mandatory Experience with relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines for drug development Proven ability to work well with small teams, often under significant time constraints Established presentation/teaching skills Fluent in English, with excellent writing skills Business acumen, with understanding of financial and marketing principles Publications in peer-reviewed literature on TA-related topics MD in oncology - trained and practiced in the US – specializing in solid tumor oncology
