We are seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Sciences for our Baltimore, MD or Memphis, TN location.  

The Manager of Manufacturing Sciences will be a senior member of a cross functional team providing technical leadership for new and existing client manufacturing. The Manufacturing Sciences Manager serves as a technical point of contact to support technology transfer activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading a team of associates responsible for all aspects of product transfer from the process establishment stage to commercial Good manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) production.

• Responsible for ensuring that project objectives are achieved.

• Responsible for ensuring that client expectations are met or exceeded and timelines are adhered to.

• Responsible for reviewing and analyzing data, designing additional experiments, and writing reports. This position will ensure a cohesive, integrated manufacturing environment and ensure that the transfer of technology is thorough and well-coordinated.

• Responsible for the development and delivery of training materials to ensure that the operational, scientific, and analytical training of all employees involved with new processes/clients.

• Responsible for liaison with the Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Project Management, Facilities, and other GMP units.

• This position will lead technology transfer by collaborating with clients and internal departments on establishing new robust and cost efficient manufacturing needed for clinical and commercial manufacturing.

• May provide technical data or impact assessments for Deviations, CAPAs, or Change Control records. Job Qualifications  

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• BS with 6 - 8 years/ MS with 3 - 4 years/ PhD with 3 - 4 years of relevant experience.

• Leadership experience is highly desired.

• Advanced knowledge of cGMP, clean room manufacturing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

• Detail oriented with good organizational skills.

• Must possess effective written and oral communication skills.

• Must display a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

• Must demonstrate initiative to remain apprised of relevant industry and regulatory trends.

• Project management and planning experience a plus.

• Experience working with external clients and vendors a plus.
