Location/Division Specific Information

We are searching for a versatile Field Service Engineer based in Netherlands who is willing and able to travel extensively on a weekly basis to solve, repair, install, and update all Thermo Fisher hardware and automation products under the BEA division, along with consulting at customer sites.

What you will do:

  • Unpack/Uncrate equipment, stage equipment in customer’s lab: Computers, Vessel stations (G3Lab Universals, G3Pro, etc.), TruLogic, Scales (if applicable), TCU (if applicable), Single Use Bioreactors (SUBs), Single Use Fermenters (SUFs), and Single Use Mixers (SUMs). Connect all process and network cables as well as utilities (electrical, chilled water, etc.).

  • Verify communication between computers, TruLogic, vessel stations and additional equipment.

  • Perform commissioning and qualification of equipment by completing Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and Installation/Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) Protocols.

  • Repair, install, and update Finesse (now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific) products at client sites as needed

  • Help to cultivate customer satisfaction through ensuring timely customer responses and problem resolution

  • Maintain high level of customer allegiance by building strong customer relationships and promoting on excellent customer experience.

  • Provides up-to-date service reporting on customer activities.

  • Provide regular updates to management on customer requests for new products and on competitive activity; provide customer feedback to hardware and software groups.

  • Aid in optimizing revenue and new product development opportunities while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and customer satisfaction.

  • Improve the service potential for revenue and customer satisfaction

  • Develop and implement technical assistance and product training to Sales group.

  • Interface technically and assist in demonstration of BEA products to potential customers.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience

  • Electrical/software or mechanical engineering or scientific background.

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Experience

  • Certified Bio-Med, Electrical, Mechanical or Controls Engineer.

  • Experience in Emerson DeltaV or other control software experience.

  • Experienced with Single Use Technology (Upstream and/or downstream).

  • Commissioning and Qualifications (C&Q) experience in facility, equipment, or utilities.

  • Knowledge of Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA), change control, deviations management and document management systems.

  • Experienced as a Field Service Engineer, Lab Maintenance Engineer or Calibration Engineer working with IVD instrumentation or medical devices of interest

  • Self-sufficient; comfortable working independently with minimal guidance; logical attitude in setting work priorities
