Job Summary We are looking for Senior Client Manager with experience in in vivo neuroscience, client management and sales to join Charles River Discovery site located in South San Francisco, CA. This is full time and permanent position and we offer a dynamic and engaging work environment in drug discovery.

 

In this position you are responsible for client communications, client management, and sales of Charles River‘s products and services with particular focus on Discovery CNS in vivo services. The position requires an expertise in in vivo pharmacology in CNS area that enables client discussions and sales on various projects on CNS diseases including in vivo pharmacology, rodent behavior, microdialysis, electrophysiology and bioanalysis. Client Manager will be responsible for daily communication, to initiate, execute and complete delivery of products/services for Charles River clients and also for creating proposals and associated documentation and delivering them to clients. Client manager participates in marketing team activities, follow-up on client projects, sales projections and client satisfaction follow-up. Qualify bids and scopes of work with sponsors to ensure appropriate service is provided. Follow up with clients to ensure that proposals are complete and answer their needs Creatively identify ways to secure open proposals by working with scientific staff, finance, management and others. Prepare proposals, price estimates for protocols, bid requests, study revisions and additions using site’s suggested selling price for clients and BD teams. Identify new business opportunities with sponsors and liaise with appropriate internal staff for follow-up Assist management in making recommendations on desirable proposals based on client feedback and established financial and operational criteria, as required.

  Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Education:   Bachelor’s or master’ s degree or equivalent in science, business, or marketing related discipline. Experience:   3-5 years customer service or related experience. Experience in a contract research and/or pharmaceutical setting preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Other:  Capable of working with a minimum of supervision, able to handle multiple tasks, and effectively prioritize based on departmental goals. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational skills and attention to detail required.  Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Ability to work effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines. Understanding of business/sales process required.
