Senior External Communications Manager

As Sr External Communications Manager for Parexel you will contribute to media and public relations initiatives in support of Parexel’s business goals. You will be an individual contributor reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications. Support efforts to build awareness and credibility of Parexel, its core offerings and key experts through contributions to a comprehensive and focused media and public relations strategy. Contribute to the development and delivery of integrated and focused messages to local, regional, national and international trade media. Vehicles for message delivery include mainstream/trade media interview opportunities, strategic news releases, proactive media pitches, media section of corporate website (“Newsroom”), etc. Help with the pursuit and completion of industry/other awards to lend validity to the company’s “Patients-First” core value and “We Care” guiding principle as a leading, global CRO. Assist with CSR activities and goodwill programs to raise company visibility and reputation. Develops metrics/KPIs and analysis that demonstrate efforts to build the company’s earned media share of voice and connect the value of this performance back to corporate/business objectives. Offers support for social media and internal communications initiatives, as needed. Qualifications5-7 years of Corporate Communications (External Comms) experience, ideally with background that includes Internal Communications and/or integrated communications Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications/Strategic Communications or English preferred Experience in CRO, healthcare, or life sciences industry preferred
