The Senior Vice President IT G&A holds significant senior-level leadership and project management responsibilities in a large-scale and complex global organization.  They must be a proven leader in supporting Human Resources, Finance, and Quality business partners with efficiency-facilitating technology and in contributing to the advancement of both operational efficiency and market-advancing innovation. They must excel at gaining alignment to strategies and rapidly implementing them through modern technology, with considerable experience in initiating technological change to improve business processes and performance.  

Expertise in large-scale systems such as Workday, Oracle EBS, Trackwise are a must. Proven success leading global business process transformation of HR and Finance, strategic planning and implementation, and IT governance, standards, methodologies, and procedures are essential.  

The Senior Vice President IT G&A provides leadership and guidance in critical areas of technology administration including strategic planning, budgeting, resource development and allocation, policy formation, technology evaluation, and service development, delivery, and deployment. They build and support a capable team, including the oversight and continuous improvement of managed services. They provide assistance to the CIO and the business leaders in managing technology operations to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and IT operational effectiveness for the benefit of the Parexel business.

This is a key leadership position, in the succession line for the CIO position and a member of the company-wide VP Forum that oversees company-wide matters.

Skills:

Financial management and acumen, ability to strictly manage a complex and large budget to a demanding target

Strategic and tactical planning, formulating a clear vision of future state in the face of extremely complex business problems.

Ability to understand the complex requirements of a regulated business, G&A management, M&A, consulting and commercial/marketing disciplines, and apply consulting skills to design strategic and tactical solutions to improve the conduct of these business areas and the operational health of the overall company

Excellent knowledge of applicable regulations e.g. FDA, GCP, SOX, GDPR and how these apply to application design, development and testing of applications in the Pharmaceutical industry

Ability to manage a global distributed department, including motivating, developing and coordinating team members

Ability to build trusted relationships with business partners and peers

Mature trusted consulting skills in terms of extraction of the business problem from business representatives, forensic analysis and innovative solution management.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Able to mentor managers and developers in how to perform their role

Client focused approach to work

A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning

Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail

Experience:

15+ years of progressive experience in managing functions and departments dealing with Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Quality, information handling, work flows and systems. Candidates must also have 10+ years of direct management of major IT operations areas and 8+ years of IT planning experience in support of business goals. Candidates should have substantial exposure to both in-house and outsourced systems, multiple hardware platforms and integrated information and communications systems. International management experience is required. Having mastered an international assignment is desirable.

Education

MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred or BS and significant work experience

Language Skills - Native language and proficiency in verbal and written English
