Senior IT Internal Auditor

The Senior IT Internal Auditor is responsible for working closely with the IT Audit Manager and Senior Director of IT Internal Audit to assist with assessing information technology and information security risk and control activities. The Senior IT Internal Auditor will assist with testing IT general controls (ITGC’s) for both design and operating effectiveness in support of the annual internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) audit procedures.

Assists with the following:Attend and/or lead process walkthroughs,Development and maintain documentation to support our understanding of the control environments (e.g., Process flows, narratives, system interface diagrams, and control information),Follows audit procedures to execute test procedures and accurately identify observations and summarize results,Prepares audit procedure workpapers that are thorough, complete, and accurate,Conclude on the design and operating effectiveness of controls,Works with remediation owners to develop Management Action Plans and provides follow-up support to confirm the remediation of issues,Complete ad-hoc internal controls initiatives and tasks as needed,Interacts with IT/IS management to build positive working relationships,Monitors processes for changes impacting risks and controls and supports the business with control design and enhancement; andLiaise with Parexel’s external auditors on substantive and controls testing requirements.

Knowledge and Experience:

1-3 years’ of professional experience with a public accounting firm and/or a corporation's Internal Audit function. Alternatively, experience in an IT/IS related field can be substituted if no previous audit experienceBackground in auditing techniques and/or computer control environments.Experience with data mining/analytic tools or robotic process automation a plus, but not requiredAbility to think critically, objectively, and analytically with an appropriate level of professional skepticismStrong communication skills, both written and verbal

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or related certification preferred; eligibility and plan for obtaining certification required.
