The Operational Excellence and Delivery, Head of Execution and Delivery will be responsible for the development and delivery of all enterprise cross-functional transformation initiatives. This role will lead and manage the senior strategic leads (VPs and Directors) that are responsible for developing integrated solution design, providing strategic guidance for project delivery, collaborating with executive leadership and with business function heads as well as clients to provide innovative applications of project results, and ensuring quality deliverables and meeting deadlines. This role will work directly with the other OED office heads to ensure governance, reporting, standards, core capabilities, organizational readiness, and adoption are established and embedded in the business. This role will lead a team, directly, or via a matrix, to develop functional transformational solutions. This role will be responsible for status updates to the executive leadership team, and business leaders as well as external meetings, conferences, and publications.

Job Responsibilities

•    Serve as head for large-scale, cross-functional, enterprise initiatives across the Corp functional groups, and regions with project planning, process management/data/change activities that will generate high-quality deliverables to meet our Corp objectives and goals

•    Participate in initiative response/development and presentations providing project expertise.

•    Initiate and lead discussions with finance, IT, cross-functional operations, management, and executive management teams to determine project scope, timelines, and feasibility for assigned project(s).

•    Evaluate and provide feedback regarding cross-functional and enterprise risks, quality, and overall probability of success to minimize the negative impact on change management objectives and deliverables.

•    Manages project activities for staff responsible for project analysis, planning, strategy, and implementation, ensuring projects are meeting or exceeding timelines and expectations enabling successful implementation.

•    Manage and cultivate relationships with internal business partners

•    Finalize project budget and scope of work to meet financial and company goals (meet or exceed targets).  Proactively ensure adherence to process and change control processes.

•    Identify and establish transparent, successful collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

•    Lead high-level presentations to executive management

Qualifications & Requirements

•    Bachelor's Degree in business, life sciences or related field and a minimum 10 years’ experience in relevant function (management roles and leadership roles which include operational effective solutions, clinical innovation, business optimization)

•    Experience leading cross-functional operating model, organization design and/or process improvement initiatives

•    Excellent communicator who can simplify complex concepts or data into easily understood narratives adapted for various audiences

•    Excellent organizational skills - structured approach and capable of managing competing numerous work streams simultaneously

•    Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to match stakeholder expectations to urgently deliver exceptional results

•    Demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity; always seeking new approaches and challenging the organization to new levels of success

•    Pharmaceutical, biotech or other regulated industry experience preferred

•    Lean experience is an advantage
