Parexel has a newly created position for an Executive Director, Operational Strategy, (Chief of Staff) in our Global Medical Services (GMS) Group. This individual will support GMS globally and will report to our Chief Medical Officer (CMO). This individual contributor role is highly influential and visible in a fast-paced and highly complex environment that requires both strategic vision as well as tactical solutions.This individual is responsible for facilitating strategy development and KPI reporting, leadership and team development, performing organizational health scans as well overseeing Change and Communication and Information Management efforts.This role must have the ability to move transversally across the Global Medical Services organization and beyond, supporting and driving strategies to enhance project delivery, talent management, operational excellence, organizational design, and fiscal responsibility. This role is an experienced leader responsible for liaising with senior levels of management within the organization, and to deputize for the Corporate Vice President as needed.Knowledge and ExperienceSignificant work experience including substantial leadership, project management and knowledge of clinical research industryExperience working in the CRO industry preferred or knowledge of how a CRO operatesExperience with developing and implementing KPI'sSkilled in gathering and presenting data to utilize when making strategic business decisionsExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate strong executive presence (i.e. can gain credibility and respect from senior leaders).Strong consulting and influencing skills; proven results as a performance consultant; ability to develop a holistic view of performance problems, identify root causes, and determine solutions.Think strategically and systemically and propose solutionsAbility to manage competing priorities, make decisions, and effectively execute across a large, global fast paced organization.High degree of interpersonal and relationship building skills to engage key stakeholders and gain alignment across departments and regions; forges global partnerships and creates informal networks based on trust and credibility.Proven facilitation and presentation skills.
