Scientist 3 - Analytical Chemist SMAR&D

We are looking to fill a Scientist 2 position working as a full-time employee of ExecuPharm / Parexel FSP on long-term assignment onsite at one of our clients in Rahway, NJ. QualificationsBS degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or related fields with at least 1-2 years of experience, orMS degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or related fields with no experience

Required Skills and ExperienceSome experience with chromatographic analysis using various UPLC and HPLC techniquesGeneral knowledge of separations scienceStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailExcellent organization to multi-task and manage multiple projectsAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

Desired Skills and ExperienceExperience with Empower chromatographic data program and with analysis of drug formulations preferred.Good understanding of GLP or GMP compliance requirements and ALCOA documentation principle

ResponsibilitiesConducts analyses of drug substance and/or drug product  following SOPs and cGMPs.Data interpretation and processing.Plans and executes validation of analytical methods.May develop and/or adapt methods.Troubleshoots instrumentation.Documents results in ELN and RLIMS and performs second chemist review.May author analytical reports and SOPs.Receives mentorship from scientific supervisor.Carries out all assignments to the standards of efficiency, innovation, accuracy, and safety in accordance with Company and regulatory requirements.
