This Opportunity

The Information Technology (IT) team is seeking a summer intern to join us to work various technology projects, including persona mapping, data analysis, and technology research.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to broaden your background and apply your skills to solve real-world problems.  If you have a strong analytical background and a keen interest in learning about technology, project management, and the pharmaceutical industry, this is the internship for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in gathering and analyzing business requirements, processes, and data
  • Conduct persona mapping research and gather information in an effort to gain a deeper understanding of customers
  • Work with project leaders to plan projects, maintain critical information, track deliverables, and coordinate related documentation
  • Participate and contribute to requirements gathering by interfacing with business stakeholders
  • Assist with project communications, including communications to stakeholders and IT colleagues
  • Conducting research and data analysis to identify business trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate and provide technical solutions to design, develop, and support as required to business units wishing to implement an information technology solution

Your Skills & Expertise

  • Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in a technology major such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Information Science, or similar
  • Past internship experience or coursework in business process and/or data analysis
  • Knowledge of technology systems and applications; knowledge of project management methodology and mechanics (SDLC, Waterfall, Agile) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to learn quickly and apply learning to activities
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented
  • Curious, creative mindset with comfort and ability to ask questions and seek answers as needed
  • Ability to quickly learn, internalize, and utilize new information and processes
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
