Parexel is hiring an Associate Director/Director, SSU Strategy and Planning to work remotely from any location within the continental US.The Associate Director/Director, SSU Strategy and Planning will be appointed as the SSU Account Lead for Biotech and/or Enterprise business account. They are responsible to strategize, lead, and manage client partnership(s) within Study Start-Up to ensure Parexel delivers quality projects to its clients and achieves agreed operational targets. The role is accountable for study start-up delivery of their respective portfolio of client partners and ensuring alignment to delivery of commitments, within the agreed expectations, including alignment to operational processes. The role is an experienced leader responsible for liaising with senior levels of management and the ability to work with leaders within other core delivery functions. The role provides the overall strategy and leadership of large, complex clinical trials or clinical trial programs, and directly or indirectly manages staff, including their development to achieve operational excellence, deliver projects/programs on time to meet client expectations.Skills:Strategic Thinking skills that support the ability to create a sense of urgency and take a proactive, solutions-based approachExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, to define and resolve issues in a variety of complex situationsExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsLeverage communication across boundaries and uses multiple communication mechanisms to convey information across functional lines and upward within Parexel.Client focused and demonstrates an ability to create and maintain trust with the client through project and personal interactions; act as a trusted advisor and become involved in the client’s decision-making process.Ability to resolve issues independently and knows when to call on senior management for involvement in communicating to client executives after assessing the organizational implications of the interaction and consultation with Senior Management.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word, and project planning softwareAbility to become proficient with Parexel systemsFamiliarity with standard business and eClinical systems used in Clinical Research such as CTMS, EDC, IXRS, TMF and project planning toolsExpert in ICH and GCP regulations in relevant geographiesDemonstrated strength in managing Managers and leading diverse teamsAdvanced ability to successfully manage a full workload across multiple and varied projects/tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detailOutstanding negotiation, influencing and organizational skillsDemonstrable experience of stakeholder/relationship management with a client focused approach to work.Able to understand the business implications of decisions and impact on customerAdvanced ability to manage and motivate direct reports and wider teamAn ability to assess situations and make and carry through difficult decision

Knowledge and Experience: Fluent in written and oral English and local languageKnowledge in clinical research industry, including expert understanding of Study Start-UpSignificant work experience including substantial Client management experience
