We are seeking a Veterinary Pathologist to join our team located in Boisbriand.

The following are responsibilities related to Veterinary Pathologist position:

Interact with clients to assure satisfaction.

Perform macroscopic and microscopic tissue evaluations and interpretation of assigned studies, including interpretation of high-resolution radiography, microCT and histomorphometry results. 

Assist with necropsy supervision.

Write comprehensive report narratives detailing all medical devices effects.

Work with study directors, as needed, to ensure that the data is accurately integrated into the study reports.

May participate in pathology working group (PWG) as an observer.

Provide training, technical guidance and leadership to laboratory staff and may provide training, guidance and leadership to less experienced pathologists.

May serve as a consultant in pathology-related issues.

May provide scientific expertise for experimental design and other aspects of research studies, as needed.

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge in medical device pathology (e.g. attendance at pathology meetings).

Participate in the global CRL committees/projects, as needed.

Perform any other related tasks that may be required. Job Qualifications  

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Veterinary Pathologist position:

Doctorate degree (D.V.M/V.M.D.) from an accredited veterinary school, or acceptable international equivalent in veterinary medicine.

Minimum of 3 years of pathology experience post residency. 

Working knowledge of clinical pathology preferred; specialized training and/or experience in medical device pathology preferred.

Board certification with the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (A.C.V.P.) or  European College of Veterinary Pathologists (E.C.V.P)  required to enter the level grade. 

Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.

Ability to work on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluation of multiple factors.

Ability to exercise judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods or techniques for obtaining solutions.

Working knowledge of related computer applications.
