Job Summary

We are looking for a Facility Aquatics Systems Specialist (Zebrafish Facility) to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in Bethesda, MD.

What you will do!As a Facility Aquatics Systems Specialist, you will utilize existing quality standards and procedures to maintain written log sheets and computer databases regarding water quality parameters, animal breeding, and housing/support areas, as well as conduct all in-house water quality tests. You will also be responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance for Zebrafish life support systems, in addition to maintaining all aquatic support equipment, as well as being tasked with troubleshooting aquatic support equipment and providing feedback on cause and resolution, including performing minor maintenance and repair of equipment. Other duties may include maintaining aquatic support equipment, schedules, and supply inventories in each facility; as well as assisting with receipt, stocking, and maintenance of supply inventories.

Job Qualifications

Who are we looking for?The ideal candidate would possess a B.S. in Biological Sciences with one year of experience working with aquatic species. AALAS certification at the LAT level within six months of eligibility required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experiences listed above.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - 23.00 per hour.  Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
