Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist will be part of the LATAM team based in Argentina. This team supports six countries in the region, and the PS will be responsible for end-to-end payroll process for some of these locations. Also, will actively participate in local, regional, and global activities and projects working with internal (i.e., HR, Finance, Employees and Line Managers) and external partners and providers. (Payroll providers, local entities, tax authorities, others). This role must ensure all sox and financial controls, audits and Data Privacy are accurately executed.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Review payroll input and communicate with the vendor for necessary updates (new hires, holiday, sick leave, maternity, salary changes, etc.).
  • Control and validate payrolls and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Review monthly closure, journal entries and tax payments.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Guarantee all payroll query responses are attended in a timely manner, where required follow up with vendors or escalate to the Payroll Manager.
  • Closely collaborate with payroll vendor, HR BPs and others similar areas.

Requirements:

  • 3 years + of payroll operations experience.
  • Knowledge of payroll best practices, inputs, and reports.
  • Fluent in English (written, oral).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience working with multiple 3rd party payroll software systems is required (ADP, Workday, or other external payroll providers).
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Resolutive mindset, “owing the problem and the solution”.
  • Attention to detail.
