Principal Infrastructure Systems Engineer - Windows

PAREXEL is seeking a motivated Principal Systems Infrastructure Engineer - Windows to join our global team.  Significant experience required with both Windows and Automation/Orchestration technologies focusing mainly on build out, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our platforms and infrastructure.  You will become part of a diligent team of engineers that deliver infrastructure solutions to host mission critical applications on-premises and in the cloud. This role focuses on maintaining and promoting security, availability, and redundancy strategies.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years working within a Windows Operating System Environment
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineer or a related degree
• Highly organized and have clear, concise communication skills
• Ability to function in a Global organization with a flexible and dynamic team environment
• Significant experience with scripting / automation technologies (PowerShell, etc)
• Significant Operating System Engineering Experience (Windows 2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022)
• Experience with Ivanti – desired
• Experience with VMWare - desired
• Linux RHEL / CentOS – a plus
• Experience with Zerto – a plus
• Storage Experience (DELL / EMC, HP, NetApp) - a plus

Key Accountabilities: 

• Responsible for technical management, operation, and maintenance of Server infrastructure
• Defines, reviews, and maintains hardware/software technical standards, especially related to installation, configuration, management, and maintenance of systems
• Conduct research on industry trends, emerging technologies, software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
• Keeps IT management abreast of any changes across multiple technologies which may impact business decisions
• Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to other team members and teams
• Mentor junior staff members to promote standardization and project initiatives / Provide orientation and training
• Final technical escalation point for technical issues from associated IT teams and members
• Ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of systems that support core organizational functions
• Monitors key system parameters to ensure optimum performance and maximum system uptime is being maintained for essential systems
• Required to participate in an on-call rotation
